Privacy policy

This policy is published in draft while the company completes its statutory registrations. It states our actual practice today and will be reissued in final form, reviewed by counsel, before we take orders.
This policy explains what personal data Dotasara Agrotech collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
From this website: only what you type into an enquiry form — your name, phone number, optional email, the type of organisation you represent, your district and your message. From the PHYTOSPEX app, if you use it: your account identifier, the soil readings you take, and the plot labels and locations you choose to attach to them.
Why we collect it
Enquiry details are used to reply to you and to arrange a pilot or demonstration. App data is used to give you your results, keep your history, and — in aggregate and without identifying you — to improve the accuracy of our advisory.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your enquiry to add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
Where it is stored
Personal data is stored on servers in India. Soil readings stay on your phone and are only sent to us if you are signed in and syncing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we are in contact with you and for two years afterwards. App data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed and any contribution to our aggregate models is anonymised.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and withdraw consent you previously gave. Write to us and we will act within the timelines the DPDP Act sets.
