About Dotasara Agrotech

An Indian agritech company building field instruments that farmers can actually use.

The decisions that cost an Indian farmer money are made on incomplete information. A soil sample goes to a lab and the report comes back weeks later, often after the sowing window it was meant to guide. A spray goes out on a guess about what is in the field, or on a neighbour's word. In both cases the numbers, when they arrive, rarely translate into what to buy on Saturday.

We started Dotasara Agrotech to close that gap at the point where the decision is actually made: standing in the plot. That means the instrument has to travel to the plot, and be affordable and rugged; the software has to work with no signal and in the language the farmer thinks in; and the advice has to end in a specific, costed action.

We are early. PHYTOSPEX reads the soil and ENTOVE watches a plot for pests; both are in field validation and neither is certified for sale yet. We publish what works and what does not, and we would rather move slower than overstate what our instruments can measure.

How we work

Say what we can measure

Every reading carries its confidence. Where our validation is incomplete, we say so, in the app and here.

Safety before yield

Integrated and cultural practices come before chemicals; every dose is capped at a published safe maximum.

India-first, not India-adapted

Vernacular, low-bandwidth and offline are the design starting point, not a later port.

Your data is yours

We collect the minimum we need, keep it in India, and let you see, correct or delete it.

We are placing units with farmers this season

Pilots are open to farmers, FPOs, KVKs and agricultural institutions. If you would like to try one, or just want to ask something, we read every message.
